Silicone Gellhorn pessary

The Gellhorn fungiform silicone pessary features a bowl-shaped portion with drainage holes, connected to a handle with a protrusion that facilitates its use. This knob is designed to keep it as deep as possible within the vagina. Use of this device is possible when other types of pessary prove ineffective. The pessary is inserted into the vagina to provide the pelvic organs with additional support. This restores the anatomical relationship between the pelvic organs and prevents/reduces the possibility of a prolapse. The size is stated on the product and on the label. It is used for 2nd, 3rd and 4th degree prolapse, cystocele and rectocele.
